The Regalia of Wisdom

Unfortunate events befall every guild, whether it be severe inactivity or alliance troubles. The Regalia of Wisdom [RoW] has seen both. The officers and I decided together that The Regalia of Wisdom is best left alone nowadays. With Guild Wars 2 on its way, many players do not care to join a guild and start something new. Instead, they would like to take it easy and play their own game until Guild Wars 2 is released. On our end, rebuilding the guild implies starting something new as well. As this stage in the long years of Guild Wars, it seems only the big and mighty guilds survive. [KISS] and other popular guilds with hundreds of members will thrive on the guild crisis because its members know if they leave there is nowhere else to go.

I have many people to thank for pulling The Regalia of Wisdom to where its peaks had been in the past. It is for various reasons (some explained above) that as the leader of the Regalia of Wisdom, I hereby suspend all [RoW] progress permanently. Inviting new members is simply not worth it anymore, especially when they go inactive and forget about Guild Wars completely. It has been decided that The Regalia of Wisdom will remain where it is today; no progress will be made of any kind. Some may describe this action as “giving up”; however, I view it as the right thing to do. It would be at the fate of the members themselves to promise them a guild that cannot go anywhere fast.

I’d like to thank everyone for making my experience as leader of The Regalia of Wisdom such a good one. I hope to see some of you in Guild Wars 2.

For those of you who have not already seen the in-game guild announcement, The Regalia of Wisdom now has its very own Ventrilo team-speak server. With this tool, we can join up with fellow guild members to chat instead of type for easier gameplay. If you’re interested in using this (a mic/headset is required for this), please visit our “[RoW] Ventrilo (New!)” page under “Resources.”

We are hosting another guild event here in [RoW]! On Tuesday, December 21st, we will be forming teams to do Alliance Battles with. The event starts at 8:00 p.m. EST, give or take a couple minutes for people to arrive. All with a level 20 character are welcome to join, and we encourage you to come (don’t forget to make a PvP-only character if you don’t have a level 20 character)! If you have any questions, feel free to message Rhaiah Vantahilx or Slayer Essence in-game. See you there!

Regalia are symbols or tokens representing royalty. We thought it was time [RoW] underwent a cape change to something that more depicted royalty and wisdom at the same time. This is our third cape change in the history of [RoW]. Hope you like it!
For reference, this was our old cape.

First, I would personally like to thank everyone who showed up and participated in our first member orientation night. The “party” consisted of casual conversation, scrimmages, sweets, drinks, fireworks — the general works of a Guild Wars party. We do plan do host more of these in the future, and we look forward to seeing all of you there for a good time, and to recognize all of the members of [RoW]. Thanks again, and long live [RoW!

Just a reminder to the guild that the Halloween holiday event has started in Guild Wars, and trick-or-treat bags are now dropping! Visit Lion’s Arch, Kamadan, or Droknar’s Forge to play games and participate in holiday activities. The Halloween quests have also been released! Trick-or-treat bags are being distributed as rewards. Please feel free to ask the guild if you need any help or would like some company with these quests! Have fun, and Happy Halloween!

For everyone new to the Regalia of Wisdom, we thank you for joining and hope you enjoy your time here. The new member orientation next Tuesday is completely voluntary, yet we highly encourage your attendance.

For those of you who haven’t noticed, Guild Wars has made an effort to acknowledge October as Breast Cancer Awareness month. In Lion’s Arch, you’ll find Rosa Salvitas [Pink Dye Vendor]. She sells you vials of pink dye for a fixed rate of 100g per vial. These dyes are not tradable, and Rosa Salvitas is only here for the rest of October. Pink dyes, however, are here to stay! So show your appreciation and support, and stock up on pink dyes! Remember: Rosa Salvitas is currently the only place pink dye is being sold, so go to her in Lion’s Arch. Thanks for your appreciation!
